A Simple Reminders for Spring
Mid-March means a change in our time from standard time (ST) to daylight savings time (DST).
So, as a reminder, we should adjust our clocks one hour ahead and don’t forget these following seasonal home maintenance tips.
- Clean out the medicine cabinet. These means, remove all items that are past their expiry date. They might be dangerous to keep in the house so be sure to dispose of them in a responsible way by going to our nearest drugstore who will dispose these old expired medicines for us.
- Check the water filters. We might think that there’s no sign that we need to replace our water filters but remember that these filters traps contaminants and other chemicals that are harmful in our body. Many leading brands recommend that we change our filters every six months to ensure the water remains fresh and great tasting.
- Check the First Aid Kit. Changing the clock is also a great time to stock up our First Aid kit. Ensure all the emergency supplies are replaced and up to date.
- Check Batteries. Our smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are the most important battery powered devices in our home that needs replacement for a reliable power source. Remember don’t throw them out, maybe these batteries are still half-empty and you can still use them in your remote controls and other battery devices in your home.
